Such a term was first to happen
In The Holy Bible, “A
Great voice of people
In heaven, saying, [Hallelujah]”

The word was used
In a fashion, continuous
The definition fused
Relief and thankfulness

Used by many artists to sing
Continue the phrase’s saga
“The major lift, the baffled king
Composing [Hallelujah]”

The word, people did say
Through the ages, moving
From religion to dictionary
Becoming a popular saying

The expression suddenly meant
Something to me, as I gaze at the
Splendour looking back, “That
Smile is truly a Hallelujah”

Author's Comments

Well, this is the first time I did a bit of research before writing a poem.

Sources:
Quote #1 - Bible, Revelation 19:1
Quote #2 - Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley
Quote #3 - Me, in my mind/head

The reason the last 'Hallelujah' is not in squared brackets is to show that it's different from the others, it actually means something to me and it fits in with my life.
